Baby Grace

This is my beautiful niece Grace Belinda Docking. Isnt she just adorable. I got to visit Belle (and Shaun) in hospital on Saturday afternoon and have the longest hugs!. Holding her certainly makes Zack seem SO big. She is tiny. The photos aren't the greatest quality as I took them on my phone.

Turning 9

Last week we had our first family birthday of the year with Ethan turning 9. (I still cant believe how old he is ). Normally we have had a big family birthday party /bbq thing on his birthday but this year I was ready for something a little more quiet. Thankfully as he had recently had a lot of the family up after his baptism a few months ago he was happy. Ethan chose to go out to Hogs Breath for tea. This a definate family favourite. The boys LOVE going there. WE took along both sets of Grandparents along with Auntie Erin ( who has earned the title as Fav auntie!) We ate way too much and went home feeling sick, but it was a nice relaxing night. We then went home to blow out the candles. However we were all too full to eat any cake.






Ethan is one of the most greatful kids I have ever known. All day he kept thanking me for his presents and telling me that this was the best birthday ever. He is so sweet.

The best bit for me however is that I had no dishes to clean at the end of the day :) The perfect birthday in my opinion!

A christmas Wedding

Last Saturday I got a new sister inlaw which is very exciting. Unfortunaely I didnt get to go to the wedding as it was a last minute wedding very close to christmas ( In Melbourne). However Matt got to and I have got to enjoy all the photos and a wedding video!

Christmas Tree

This year putting the tree up was definately more of a chore then fun. We had been sick all week and I had no motivation, But after much nagging from the boys I agreed. This year the scene for putting the tree up was much differentthen in past years with matt lying in the recliner with a blanket sleeping off his sickness, and So not to disturb Matt or annoy me too much the boys watch a christmas movie while I put the tree together on my own...once the tree was up I told the boys to go for it with the decorations. Ethan ever so eager was putting up all the decorations, especially excited to put up the homemade items ones.

Daniel on the other hand decided he would just play in the tinsel like a 2 year old!. During the decorating of the tree I stepped back and trod of my camera which I had stupidly placed on the floor and broke it!.So the only photos I have in on my phone which didnt turn out that great...(need to add a new camera to my christmas shopping!). Thankfully once the tree was up the excitement of Christmas started. I just love Christmas. I love the lame Christmas movies on TV, I love Christmas carols, Christmas cooking, Turkey, Tinsel and wrapping presents. The only thing that is missing from the perfect christmas is snow....but I am not holding my breath for that!

what to buy for a 14 year old boy

I have been thinking all week and I still cant figure out what to buy for my Nephew for christmas. Teen boys are way to hard to buy for.

Is santa real???

That is the question that I was asked last night by Ethan. In the past I had always said to him just "if you dont believe santa wont come". But he was full of technical questions of santa last night so I had to break the bad news to him who Santa REALLY was! It was heartbreaking to break that news only weeks before Christmas. I was really hoping for him to one more magical christmas before reality set in....But I did try to soften the blow by telling him that now he was a big boy he was allowed to know the special secret about Santa that he needs to help keep from others so he was a little excited about having a special secret to keep.....but I couldnt miss the disappointment on his face....then he asked about easter bunny. So in one night he lost Santa and Easter Bunny. I didnt have the heart to tell him about the tooth fairy also :)

A Hard working Missionary :)

I was browsing blogs this morning in attempt to put off house work, when i accidently clicked on a random blog instead of the one I actually wanted to visit. When the page flicked up of this random blog I was presented with photos of Elder Scott Docking working hard on his misson :) Here is what I found....( yes I stole the photos!)
