A Mother's Day Off
A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.
Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?' 'Yes,' was his incredulous reply?
She answered,
'Well, today I didn't do it.'

Zachary Ernest Jury
8 pounds 6oz. 51 cm long.
Well I must say that I have been a little slack with photos since I got home from hospital, but blogging has been the last thing on my mind. Zack's birth went really well despite it taking an hour for them to put in my Spinal. It was definately one of the most painful hours of my life as they pushed that large needle in and out of my back trying to find the right spot.( leaving me with some rather impressive brusing on my back, and now on going back pain), but other then that all went so smoothly. I had no reaction to the spinal this time which was my biggest fear going in.
A few hours after he was born auntie Erin brought the boys in to see him. They were very excited ( especially Daniel). Infact they were so excited that they made Matt bring them back in that evening. When they came back in the evening they had bought Zack his own Loopey Dog. Now for those not knowing what a Loopey dog is...Loopey is the name Ethan gave to a stuffed Dog when he was 4 and it has become his best friend coming everywhere we go. Daniel last year decided he wanted a dog just like Loopey and we happen to find a baby size Loopey for him and even Uncle Andrew has a Loopey that the boys gave him ( only he named his dog smooch). So it was only fair in the boys eyes that Zack get his own Loopey too!
Anyway after 4 1/2 days I was so over hospital and ready to come home. As soon as I got home I felt SO much better. My back isnt nearly as sore sleeping in my own bed as it was on those horrible hospital beds, and it is so nice not having midwives coming in constantly checking on everything. We have even ventured out a couple of times to do a little pre-easter shopping. Thankfully Zack seems to be sleeping really well and only is waking once during the night. So far he is a really easy baby, and certainly the best feeder out of all of them. He attaches really well which has meant minimal damage this time. However with my milk still yet to settle I am very sore at the moment, hoping it will change soon.
